Furutech engineers consider the α (Alpha) OCC-DUCC to be one of the best conductors for sound reproduction. It is made by combining DUCC Ultra Crystallized High Purity Copper, regulated with strict quality control by Mitsubishi Materials Industries (MMI), and Furutech's Pure Transmission α (Alpha)-OCC, created through Ohno continuous casting processing and Alpha Super Cryogenic and Demagnetizing treatment. The DUCC copper is extremely pure and oxygen-free, and its crystals are optimally aligned with new technology to create an exceptionally efficient conductor. The combination of these two conductors with fewer crystal grain boundaries produces exceptional sound quality, including a lowered noise floor, increased resolution, deeper, tighter bass, improved soundstaging, and enhanced imaging.
Furutech has recently introduced the high perfomance DAS-4.1 balance cable to the α (Alpha) OCC-DUCC series.
