The airplain five is a special loudspeaker in every respect. Never before has there been such a slim loudspeaker system with such enormous performance capabilities. This is made possible by a completely redesigned cabinet structure, combined with the latest DSP and amplifier technology and loudspeaker chassis with outstanding characteristics. The solid stainless steel enclosure with aluminium base, which also acts as a heat sink for the total 650 W output, provides ideal conditions for resonance-free reproduction. The five is a pure 2-way system with four identical 4" Purifi long-throw bass drivers and the latest ap-AMT-2(-5) tweeter made in Kemptthal. Thanks to the wide-range transmission, the crossover frequency could be set at a very low 800 Hz. This eliminates disruptive interference between the four bass drivers within a large dispersion angle. Like the AMT tweeter, the bass drivers are clamped into the enclosure, which ensures optimal force distribution across the enclosure.
