Getting to the darmstadtium

The darmstadtium is conveniently located in the heart of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region and can be reached by any kind of transport.



Public transport

Darmstadt’s central railway station is only a few minutes away from the Science and Congress Centre and can easily be reached by both car and public transport.

Darmstadt’s central railway station can be reached with regional services as well as IC/ICE. Public transport from the Darmstadt central railway station to the congress centre is direct and takes less than 10 minutes. The “Schloss” and “Luisenplatz” stops are immediately next to darmstadtium.

In addition to public transport and taxis, you can also use bicycles or even e-bikes to get around Darmstadt. You can rent e-bikes at the darmstadtium itself, and there is a “Call a Bike” station for bicycles to the side of the darmstadtium, next to the city wall.

HeinerLiner – a ride pooling service with environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The HeinerLiner schedule is as follows:

Monday through Wednesday: 6pm to 1 am
Thursday: 6pm to 2 am
Friday: 6pm to 5 am
Saturday: 9 am to 5 am
Sunday and holidays: 9 am to 1 am

By Airplane

Frankfurt International Airport can be reached by car in 20 minutes and by rail or the AirLiner shuttle bus in about 30 minutes. The AirLiner stops directly in front of the darmstadtium and runs every 30 minutes.

By car

The darmstadtium is conveniently located in the heart of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region with direct access to the A5 and A67 motorways.
