Professor Rudolf Mandalka (Violoncello) and Maria-Barbara Nytsch (Piano) have played on that record solely compositions from the Spain composer Gaspar Cassado. Gaspar Cassado, born 1897 in Barcelona was a student of Pablo Casals and his career he has played with many outstanding musicians like Yehudi Menuhin. His passion was the Violoncello and his compositions are still very ambitious.
